We have compiled 5 easy, delicious, and healthy dog treat recipes you’ll want to try out with your best furry friend!


You can make a larger batch and put the extras in the freezer. Defrost them weekly and always have healthy, preservative-free dog treats on hand!


1. Sweet Potato Dog Chews

This dog treat is just ONE ingredient! What you will need is a good chunk of patience and time to let sweet potato slices cook and dehydrate.

2. Spinach, Apple and Carrot Homemade Dog Treats

This tasty dog biscuit can be made with ingredients you likely already have in the kitchen.

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup coconut flour

  • 1 tsp canola oil

  • ¾ cup water

  • 2 eggs

  • ½ cup baby carrots

  • 1.5 cup spinach

  • 1 apple

3. Zucchini Peanut Butter Dog Treats

Have some extra zucchini in the fridge? Try this easy recipe that you can whip up in no time!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup grated zucchini

  • ½ cup peanut butter (make sure it does not contain an artificial sweetener called xylitol- this is toxic to your dog)

  • ½ cup whole wheat flour

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

4. Pumpkin Dog Treats

Your dog loves fresh pumpkin just as much as you do, let them indulge with these yummy and easy treats!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pumpkin

  • 2 eggs

  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter (make sure it does not contain an artificial sweetener called xylitol- this is toxic to your dog)

  • 2.5 - 4 cups oat flour or wheat flour

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

5. Cranberry, Honey, and Oat Dog Treats

Cranberries are packed full of natural antioxidants, boosting your dog’s immune system, and improving bladder health. Greek yogurt will support your dog’s digestive health. This treat is sure to have your pup begging for more!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)

  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • ¼ cup ground flaxseed (optional)

  • ⅔ cup oatmeal

  • ¼ cup oatmeal separated

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 3 tablespoon water (as needed)
